Coaching Experience:
Coach Zach brings 10 years of coaching experience working with athletes from both large and small programs, including highly competitive year-round teams and summer league environments. He is ASCA Level 5 Educated and holds Level 2 Performance certification, reflecting a strong commitment to professional development and coaching education.
Athletic Background:
Zach swam competitively for 13 years (2004–2017). His swimming background includes Morgan Hill Swim Club, West Valley Swimming, and collegiate competition with Buffalo State Swimming. During the 2015–2016 season, he was honored as the Henry Kissinger Best Teammate, recognizing his leadership and positive impact on team culture.

Zach believes that “a rising tide lifts all boats.” His approach emphasizes consistent effort, accountability, and shared success. He encourages athletes to show up, do the work, and trust the process—knowing that when everyone is committed, individual and team results naturally follow.

Zach values the depth of experience on the SCSC coaching staff. He enjoys working alongside coaches who bring decades of knowledge and varied perspectives, creating an environment where collaboration and continuous learning thrive on deck.

Hobbies & Interests Outside of Swimming:
Zach is an avid hiker and has logged nearly 3,500 miles over the past five years, primarily throughout the Bay Area! He also has a strong interest in maps and cartography.
